PRO-SET Laminating Epoxies are a versatile system of liquid resins and hardeners designed to meet a wide range of wet lay-up laminating applications. Use PRO-SET Laminating Epoxies to produce lightweight, high-performance composite structures that will withstand long-term cyclic loading in the harshest environments. These epoxies bond to core materials, wood, metal and all reinforcing fabrics. They offer excellent moisture resistance, toughness and superior resistance to heat and fatigue. PRO-SET Laminating Epoxies develop excellent physical properties at room temperature and may be post-cured for enhanced performance.

Any Standard PRO-SET Laminating resin may be combined with any PRO-SET Laminating hardener to create a “custom” epoxy blend. Choose resin by viscosity and hardener by speed. To simplify the choice, Standard PRO-SET Laminating resins and hardeners are priced the same (except for High-Temp).

LAM-125 Laminating Epoxy uses a low viscosity to quickly wet out composite fabrics; it is particularly effective with Kevlar and Carbon Fiber. LAM-125 Resin has been designed for a variety of applications including hand layups, machine impregnation, in contact molding, vacuum bagging and Light RTM applications.

PRO-SET Laminating hardeners range from fast to extra slow and may be blended to provide even greater versatility with your custom processes.

LAM-224: Fast cure speed hardener provides 40 minute working time at 77°F. A typical laminate will be gelled in about 1.5 to 2 hours.
LAM-226: Medium cure speed hardener provides 2 to 3 hours of working time at 77°F. A typical laminate will be gelled in 4 to 5 hours.
LAM-229:Slow cure speed hardener provides 4 to 5 hours working time at 77°F. A typical laminate will be gelled in 6 to 7 hours.
LAM-237: Extra slow cure speed hardener provides 7 to 8 hours of working time at 77°F. A typical laminate will be gelled in 12 to 14 hours.
LAM-239: Extended open time hardener provides 8 to 9 hours of working time at 85°F. A typical laminate will be gelled in 12 to 14 hours at 85°F.

Laminating Epoxies can by dyed, upon request, to provide for visual quality control. A yellow dye in the resin and a blue dye in the hardener, when properly metered and thoroughly mixed, will result in a consistent shade of green.
