Description
The material is 100% Kevlar. This fabric has a width of 50″, woven in a 2×2 twill weave. This material was woven by reputable weavers across the US, and their long lasting presence in the composite industry will ensure you receive a quality material. This material gives you high strength capabilities with the impact resistance of Kevlar. Thickness .008″
This material is 2nd quality. This does not mean it is necessarily bad material but if our 100 yard rolls of material come with about ten or more defects throughout the roll it is considered second quality. A defect may be one broken fiber strand, missing a strand, jumped a strand in the weave. The defects are not bad and this material is great for filler material. Some sections of the fabric are absolutely fine but we cannot check what material is on the roll, if you want guaranteed perfect fabric please purchase another material. All other materials are 1st quality unless noted.
To harden the raw fabric into a usable form, you will need the appropriate resin or epoxy for your project. For the colored materials, we suggest one of our resins which cure clear.
