Composite Envisions - Infusion Epoxy MEDIUM HARDENER - General Purpose - LIMITED TIME SPECIAL!
Our general purpose infusion epoxy mixes high performance with a great value. This epoxy performs to highest of standards needed for advanced composite parts. This material is priced significantly lower than our standard line of resins because it is slightly tinted. This resin was manufactured for a large project which ended abruptly and is being sold off as a general purpose resin since it is a slight variation from our existing lineup of resins we sell. The resin may have a faint yellow hue to it and the hardener will have a blue hue to it which will create a light green color when mixed in the bucket. This was done as a visual aid to know when the resin was mixed. We have about 10,000 lbs of this epoxy/hardener and various batches have slightly different pigment levels from none to the standard level of tint. We have manufactured composite panels here with this resin for testing purposes and you will not notice the color on a carbon fiber infusion as long as your material is tight to the surface without bridging. The few mils thick of resin are not enough for the color to show up and side by side with a clear resin you cannot tell a difference. For brighter fabrics such as silver or white we would suggest using our normal clear resin just to be safe as we have not tested with these materials.
Just like our other resins this material has two hardener choices, a slow and a medium which can be mixed together to create a custom cure time if needed.
Our General Purpose Infusion Resin is a great way to save money but it is a limited time offering. Once this is gone we will remove it from our website. It is freshly made with an expiration date early 2022 so you are not getting an old product. Our loss is your gain! The reason we are offering it in a special listing is because of the tint in the resin/hardener.
