Our 2:1 Epoxy Hardener is considered to be a slow hardener, Our 3:1 and 4:1 hardener epoxies will cure much faster. However this 2:1 hardener will provide you with the maximum working time possible and should not be used in temps under 70° F unless a very long curing time is needed.  Slow hardener should be used at temperatures above 80° F for optimal overnight curing.

This Hardener must be used with either our Thin Epoxy or Thick Epoxy Resin.

Mixing 2 parts epoxy to 1 part hardener will give you the appropriate final mixture.

The appropriate amount of Resin needed for each size Hardener;

1 Pint Hardener --- 1 Quart Resin

1 Quart Hardener --- 2 Quarts Resin

1/2 Gallon Hardener --- 1 Gallon Resin

1 Gallon Hardener --- 2 Gallons Resin

The 2:1 hardener has a pot life of 35-40 minutes at 80° F, set time of 5-6 hours and a drying time of 24-48 hours.

This hardener is filled by weight not volume.
Net Weight
4.02lbs/1823g = aprox 1/2 Gallon
2.01lbs/912g = aprox 1 Quart
1.00lbs/454g = aprox 1 Pint

The item has a shelf life of approximately one year. To ensure quality results and proper curing, please make sure to use the resin shortly after purchase.

****************** Cold Weather Warning ***************

If your epoxy arrives cold during shipment is must be allowed to acclimate to at least 75° F before using. Mixing this product below 75°F will increase the potential for under-mixed epoxy which will create wet or sticky areas on your surface. Cold temperatures will also trap more very tiny air bubbles during the mixing which cannot always be removed with the torch/heat gun. In addition applying the mixed epoxy in temps below 70 degrees F will drastically extend cure times. To warm the epoxy quickly we recommend using either a heat lamp, an electric heater or placing the closed bottles of epoxy in a tub of warm water for 30 minutes. Getting the epoxy too hot will result in a faster reaction time, so pay careful attention to what you're doing.
