Bronze Zylon Fabric/Cloth 60" 6oz Plain Weave. The material is a ballistic grade zylon hm with a strength rating of Aerospace 840ksi. This fabric has a width of 60", 6oz and is woven in a tight plain weave. This material was woven by reputable weavers across the US, and thier long lasting presence in the composite industry will ensure you receive a quality material. This fabric is over 2 times stronger than Kevlar and stronger than IM7 aerospace carbon fiber. Thickness .009"
Zylon is a new material on the leading edge of composite technology. Zylon is stronger than carbon fiber when measuring on the basis of a strength to weight ratio.
We use this same material for producing our rigid carbon fiber panels on our site.
To harden the raw fabric into a usable form, you will need the appropriate resin or epoxy for your project. For the colored materials, we suggest one of our resins which cure clear.
We take care in shipping our items and we will never fold the fabric. Our fabric is always rolled onto a tube to prevent distortion of the weave.
This item is listed by the linear yard, which is 36" long by the 60" width. If you purchase a qty of 2, you will receive one continuous piece of fabric 72"x60" and so on. We will leave the fabric in one continuous piece.
